A Magyar Posta „100 éve süllyedt el a Titanic” c. bélyegblokkja harmadik helyezést ért el a WIPA bélyegszépségversenyen.
A versenyben ezúttal a 2012-es év bélyegei mérettetek meg. 70 ország vett részt, az első helyezést 91 ponttal a svájci, a második helyezést pedig 82 ponttal a hongkongi bélyeg nyerte el. Az értékelésben a magyar bélyeg 79 pontot kapott. A magyar blokk esetében a zsűri külön kiemelte a különleges nyomdatechnikát.
A WIPA (Wiener Internationale Postwertzeichen Ausstellung) nagydíjat először az 1981-es bécsi bélyeg-világkiállítás kapcsán hirdették meg, és azóta évről évre ismétlik. Magyar postabélyeg ezidáig egyszer ért el komolyabb eredményt: az 1986-os Nemzetközi Rákkongresszus alkalmából kibocsátott bélyegünk az osztrák pályázaton második helyen végzett.
A Titanic bélyegblokk már két nemzetközi sikert is hozott a Magyar Postának, az ASIAGO Nagydíjat és a Baltic Transport Journal szépségverseny első díját.

Third place at the WIPA Grand Prix
Magyar Posta’s stamp block “100 years since the sinking of the Titanic” has finished third at the WIPA international stamp competition in Vienna.
Stamps issued in 2012 competed in the contest. 70 countries took part and the Swiss stamp won first place with 91 points and the Hong Kong entry came second with 82 points. The Hungarian stamp achieved a score of 79. The Hungarian block was singled out by the jury for its special printing technique.
The WIPA (Wiener Internationale Postwertzeichen Ausstellung) Grand Prix was first organised at the international philatelic exhibition in Vienna in 1981 and has been held annually since then. A Hungarian stamp has previously achieved a noteworthy result on one occasion at the Austrian competition when the stamp issued to mark the 1986 International Conference on Cancer came second.
Magyar Posta has already reaped international success twice with the Titanic stamp block, winning the ASIAGO Award for Philatelic Art and first prize in the Baltic Transport Journal's beauty contest.
Dritter Platz im Rahmen des WIPA Grand Prix
Der Briefmarkenblock „Vor 100 Jahren sank die Titanic” der Magyar Posta belegte im WIPA Wettbewerb um die schönste Briefmarke den dritten Platz.
Im Wettbewerb wurden diesmal die Briefmarken des Jahres 2012 bewertet. 70 Länder nahmen teil, der erste Platz ging mit 91 Punkten an die Schweiz und der zweite Platz mit 80 Punkten an Hongkong. Der ungarischen Briefmarke wurden 79 Punkte zugesprochen. Bei dem ungarischen Block hob die Jury die spezielle Drucktechnik besonders hervor.
Der Grand Prix der WIPA (Wiener Internationale Postwertzeichen Ausstellung) wurde erstmals anlässlich der Briefmarkenweltausstellung WIPA 1981 gestiftet, seitdem wird dieser Vorgang Jahr für Jahr wiederholt. Eine ungarische Briefmarke erzielte bislang einmal eine bessere Platzierung: Unsere anlässlich des Internationalen Krebskongresses 1986 herausgegebene Briefmarke erlangte auf dem Wiener Wettbewerb den zweiten Platz.
Der Titanic-Briefmarkenblock brachte der Magyar Posta bereits zwei internationale Erfolge, den ASIAGO Internationaler Preis für Briefmarkenkunst und den ersten Platz im Wettbewerb für die schönste Briefmarke von Baltic Transport Journal.
