1. MAGYAR - 200 ÉVES A PÉCSI PANNON FILHARMONIKUS ZENEKAR
A Magyar Posta alkalmi bélyeg kibocsátásával köszönti a pécsi Pannon Filharmonikusok bicentenáriumát.
A pécsi Pannon Filharmonikusok a város gazdag zenei múltjának legjelentősebb képviselői. A zenekar jogelődje a Bécsből 1807-ben áttelepült Mozart kortárs és Haydn tanítvány Lickl György által 1811-ben alakított Zeneművész Társaság (Tonkünstler Sozietät), mely 1811. december 9-én adta első hangversenyét. Az alsó-ausztriai Lickl Györgyöt a XIX. század elején már Bécs ünnepelt zeneszerzőjeként ismerték.
A pécsi püspök 1806-ban regens chori állást ajánlott számára. Letelepedésével a város zenei élete intenzív fejlődésnek indult. Az évek során bécsi zenészek szerződtek ide, s hamarosan Magyarország legjobb zenekara jött létre. Az 1830-as évek közepén operaelőadásokra is sor került. A szimfonikus zenekar „Szabad Királyi Pécs Városi Zenekar” néven adta hangversenyeit.
A hagyományokat folytatva 1871-ben megalakult a Pécsi Zeneegylet Zenekara, mely a XX. század közepéig magas színvonalon elégítette ki a város lakosságának zenei igényeit. A világháborút követő visszaesés után létrejött a Pécsi Szimfonikus Zenekar, mely 1951. március 6-án adta első hangversenyét. 1956. szeptember 1-jén – az Országos Filharmónia szerepvállalásával – kezdte meg működését a Pécsi Filharmonikus Zenekar.
A Pécsi Szimfonikus Zenekar, mint önálló művészeti intézmény 1984-ben alakult meg, fenntartója azóta is Pécs Megyei Jogú Város. 2003. szeptember 1-jétől az együttes széles spektrumú feladatait – mely magába foglalja Pécs és a Dél-dunántúli Régió hangversenyéletét, valamint a Pécsi Nemzeti Színház zenés darabjaiban való közreműködést – két művészeti együttes: egy 73 fős hangversenyzenekar és egy 22 fős Szimfonietta látja el.
A szakmai megújulás és minőségi váltás lehetőségét a kiváló művészeti irányítású két évtizedes koncepciózus munka, valamint az együtteshez az elmúlt évtizedben szerződött kimagasló képességű művészek adják. 2004. január 1-jétől új arculattal, és új elnevezéssel, Pannon Filharmonikusok néven folytatja munkáját. 2. ENGLISH - THE PÉCS PANNON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA IS 200 YEARS OLD
Magyar Posta is celebrating the bicentennial of the foundation of the Pécs Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra by issuing a special stamp.
The Pécs Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra is the most significant representative of the rich musical history of the city.
The legal predecessor of the orchestra was the Musical Artist Society (Tonkünstler Sozietät), which moved from Vienna in 1807 and which was founded by Johann Georg Lickl, a contemporary of Mozart and student of Haydn.
The orchestra gave its first performance on 9 December 1811. Johann Georg Lickl, from Lower Austria, was a celebrated Vienna composer at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1806 the bishop of Pécs offered him the position of choirmaster in 1806. With his settling in Pécs the musical life of the town started to develop intensively.
Over the years Viennese musicians were contracted here, and soon Hungary’s best orchestra was established. In the middle of the 1830-s even opera performances were given.
The symphonic orchestra gave its performances under the name of “The Orchestra of the Free Royal Town of Pécs”. In keeping with traditions the Pécs Music Society was established in 1871, which satisfied the musical demands of the people of the town until the middle of the 20th century.
After the break following the World War, the Pécs Symphonic Orchestra was founded, which gave its first concert on 6 March 1951. On 1 September 1956 the Pécs Philharmonic Orchestra started operation undertaking the role as the National Orchestra.
The Pécs Symphonic Orchestra, as an independent artistic institution, was established in 1984, its proprietor since then being the County Town of Pécs. As of 1 September 2003 two groups of musicians have been carrying out the wide range of the orchestra’s tasks: a concert orchestra of 73 and a Sinfonietta of 23 artists, these tasks include the concert life of Pécs and the South Transdanubian Region and collaboration in the musical performances at the Pécs National Theatre.
The professional renewal and development of quality were made possible by the conceptual work over two decades and the artists of outstanding ability contracted to the orchestra over the past ten years. As of 1 January 2004 they have continued their work with a new image and a new name: the Pannon Philharmonic. (Source: pfz.hu)
The stamp image depicts the logo of the Pannon Philharmonic and a portrait of Johann Georg Lickl as an organic unit. The design on the first day cover shows the building and concert hall of the Kodály Centre in Pécs as well as a detail from a music manuscript written by Johann Georg Lickl. The main motif of the special cancellation stamp is Lickl’s signature.

Mit der Ausgabe einer Sondermarke gratuliert die Ungarische Post den Pannon Philharmonikern Pécs zum 200-jährigen Jubiläum.
Die Pannon Philharmoniker sind die bedeutendsten Vertreter der reichen Musikvergangenheit der Stadt Pécs (Fünfkirchen). Rechtsvorgängerin des Orchesters war die Tonkünstler Sozietät, gegründet 1811 von dem Zeitgenossen Mozarts und Haydn-Schüler Georg Lickl, der 1807 von Wien nach Fünfkirchen gezogen war.
Am 9. Dezember 1811 gab das Orchester sein erstes Konzert. Der aus Niederösterreich stammende Georg Lickl war bereits zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts in Wien ein gefeierter Komponist.
Der Fünfkirchener Bischof hatte dem jungen Meister 1806 eine Stelle im Regenschor angeboten. Nachdem er sich in Fünfkirchen niedergelassen hatte, begann eine intensive Entwicklung im Musikleben der Stadt.
Im Laufe der Jahre wurden Wiener Musiker engagiert und bald kam das beste Orchester Ungarns zustande. Mitte der 1830er Jahre wurden auch Opern inszeniert. Das symphonische Orchester gab unter dem Namen „Orchester der königlichen Freistadt Fünfkirchen“ seine Konzerte.
Dieser Tradition folgend wurde 1871 das Orchester des Pécser Musikvereins gegründet, das bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts die musikalischen Ansprüche des Pécser Publikums erfüllte. Das nach einer vorübergehenden Pause infolge des II. Weltkrieges gegründete Symphonieorchester Pécs gab am 6. März 1951 sein erstes Konzert.
Am 1. September 1956 begann das Philharmonieorchester Pécs seine Arbeit, das auch die Aufgaben der Staatlichen Philharmonie übernahm. Das Pécser Symphonieorchester erhielt 1984 den Status einer unabhängigen künstlerischen Institution. Träger des Orchesters ist seitdem die Stadt Pécs. Seit dem 1. September 2003 arbeitet das Orchester mit zwei Ensembles – einem 73-köpfigen Konzertorchester und einer Sinfonietta mit 22 Mitgliedern – und erfüllt damit ein breites Aufgabenspektrum.
Dazu gehören Konzerte in Pécs und den Städten der Region Südtransdanubien, sowie die Mitwirkung an den Musikaufführungen des Nationaltheaters Pécs. Grundlage für die musikalische Erneuerung und qualitative Verbesserung sind die unter ausgezeichneter künstlerischer Leitung vollbrachte Konzeptionsarbeit der letzten beiden Jahrzehnte sowie die hervorragenden Künstler des Orchesters, die in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten engagiert wurden.
Das Orchester setzt seit dem 1. Januar 2004 mit einem neuen Profil und unter neuem Namen – als Pannon Philharmoniker Pécs – seine Arbeit fort. (Quelle: pfz.hu)
Auf dem Briefmarkenbild bilden das Logo der Pannon Philharmoniker bzw. das Portrait des Gründers Georg Lickl eine organische Einheit. Auf der Zeichnung des Sonderumschlags sind das Gebäude und der Konzertsaal des Pécser Kodály-Zentrums sowie ein Notenausschnitt Georg Lickls zu sehen. Hauptmotiv des Sonderstempels ist die Unterschrift Georg Lickls.
